Bahay Bulilit in Mandaluyong

Led by Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos Jr., a new Bahay Bulilit at Barangay Addition Hills was inaugurated and opened last February 4. Bahay Bulilit is one of Ronald McDonald House Charities’ (RMHC) banner programs in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and local government units. Together, they aim to provide low-cost day care centers in their respective communities for children 2-5 years old. Inside every Bahay Bulilit, children are taught basic skills in preparation for formal schooling, proper interaction skills and positive values. There are now over 20 Bahay Bulilit day care centers nationwide. Joining Mayor Abalos in the ribbon-cutting ceremony is RMHC Executive Director Margot Torres and McDonald’s Chief Happiness Officer Ronald McDonald.
